The Explorers is a not-for profit school started by parents and volunteers. We are the only state funded international school in Stavanger. Our school has been approved for 100 students from the fall semester of 2018.
The Explorers is a startup. Our goal is the best possible education for our children. We are happy to live on the edge in terms of creative, new and perhaps unconventional teaching methods. We strongly believe that students should not be crammed into a predetermined, age defined curriculum, but rather students should learn at their level and be allowed to go as far as they can. We aim to connect with the city around us by utilizing the cultural and educational aspects of being an urban school and through interdisciplinary projects.
The name the Explorers takes inspiration for the fact that life has a possibility to be a lifelong learning journey. Our goal is to make learning fun.
