ABB Industrial Automation provide safety and automation systems, IT-solutions, drives and electrical systems, telecommunication systems and instrumentation to onshore and offshore installations. We deliver solutions to a wide variety of industries e.g. aluminium, cement, chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, metal, mining, oil & gas, power generation and pulp & paper. ABB’s Industrial Automation-operations in Norway are located in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Hammerfest and Stord.

Oppgaver :

Are you ready to challenge yourself and work as Area Sales Manager within Oil and Gas on some of the most complex technical energy transmission systems facing a wide range of applications, well adapted into the environment and renewable energy market?

We are looking for result-oriented, enthusiastic and outgoing Area Sales Managers with people skills.

Tasks;
We are offering a position as Area Sales Manager at ABB AS, within IAOG - Oil, Gas and Chemicals in Norway. You will be part in the international sales team, lead the sales processes and contribute in own opportunity projects. Screening of new business opportunities and participant in development of sales portfolio to meet the fast shift in a transforming market, will also be an important part of your assignment.

Position IAOG as the preferred supplier within New Energy and Large Projects providing energy to offshore installations and onshore utilities worldwide. 
Close cooperation with the local and global account and market managers will be an essential part of the role. 

You should be able to take the lead, with focus on team effort and maintain compliance with integrity, HSE and corporate standards. 

A general technical understanding for offshore electrical installations as well as HVDC, FACTS and battery energy storage systems is a valued skill as well as a genuine interest for offshore market. 

As an Area Sales Manager you will support the sales organization and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, and in preparation of tenders.

Main objectives:
• Position IAOG as preferred supplier 
• Customer visits and negotiation meetings with clients
• Sales and presentation of our full portfolio 
• Participate in tender team as sales responsible
• Ensure efficient use of the sales processes (IMS) 
• Represent ABB in various marketing activities
• Communicate and establish good relationships with customers
• Involve ABB factories to secure good cooperation and beneficial business models
• Travel, both national and international, must be foreseen

Krav:

You hold relevant M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree and have sales experience in business-to-business segment sales and good customer understanding, preferably in the oil and gas sector. We also see the right candidate have good leadership skills. You have a systematic and independent way of working, be able to lead and enjoy working with teams. It is an advantage with good marked knowledge of the oil and gas business and renewable market.

This job requires good communication and motivation skills as well as an ability to manage heavy workload. You have fluent skills in both written and spoken Norwegian (Scandinavian) and English.
