Role Summary:The Human Resource Manager (HRM) will be the first point of contact for assigned local BHGE managers and employees to provide advice, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee related questions. This role will be critical in creating an employee experience, which attracts and retains top talent, executing our location / region specific initiatives, providing available and responsive internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. There are two positions, where one permanent role with start in January and a temporary role with start as soon as possible until April 2020. The role report to the Nordic HR Leader and work in partnership with six other HRMs as well as Labour Relations Manager. In addition, the HRM will partner with relevant global HR Business Partners in various product lines.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support, coaching and guidance to multiple managers and employees in BHGE with specific focus on HR fundamentals including: Employee advocacy / engagement, HR policy / procedure training, employee relations management, performance management, recruitment, compensation, and workplace investigations
- Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues
- Projects as agreed with the Nordic HR Leader
- Coordinate relevant local compliance initiatives (as applicable by state / country)
- Partner with back office functions as appropriate to address manager and employee inquiries
- Analyze and interpret data as required in order to support HR strategy in core functional areas (retention, recruitment, compliance, diversity, etc.)
- Ensure that routine and complex employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
- Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance
- Conduct HR training and support for functional processes.
- Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary action
- Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
- Lead other regional / country HR projects as necessary, working across multiple client groups
- Some travel should be expected
Qualifications/Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, Master is desirable
- Significant relevant experience required and can compensate for lack of education
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written.
- 5-10 year experience from HR, preferably in a global matrix organization
