Global Occupational EHS manager

As an organization we believe that it is possible to run our operations without injuries or work-related illnesses, and we implement all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees. We also strive to understand our environmental impact and keep it as low as reasonably possible for our type of production.

Areas of responsibility:

Together with the rest of the corporate EHS team:

  • Develop and implement EHS programmes, procedures, tools and training materials
  • Train and coach EHS managers at plant and division level
  • Coach and advise managers at all levels of the organisation in EHS issues
  • Perform EHS audits and reviews
  • Monitor, interpret and assess the impact of existing and emerging EHS laws, regulations, regulatory policy and industry practices on our company
  • Participate in EHS strategy work
  • Promote a culture of sharing and learning from incidents and injuries
  • Manage and further improve our incident management system (Synergi)
  • Develop and follow-up Global EHS metrics and KPIs

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational EHS or other relevant technical field
    • Relevant working experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • Experience in:
    • practical EHS work in an industrial environment, including auditing
    • leading and motivating people at all levels of an organisation
    • performing training activities and developing training materials
    • incident investigation and root-cause analysis
    • developing, implementing and maintaining administrative systems, programmes, procedures and tools 
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, including fluency in oral and written English
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Organised and detail-oriented
    • Coaching approach to leadership
    • Strong interpersonal skills within a multicultural environment

Extensive worldwide traveling is required. The position reports to VP EHS & CSR.
