Candidate Background:

· University Degree in Business/Finance.

· Min 5 years' experience in a financial, compliance or operational role within the financial industry.

· Background from an asset management/fund administrator firm is an advantage.

· Fluent in oral/written English.

· Additional languages are an advantage.

· Client facing abilities as well as being proactive is a must.

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

· You must be detailed oriented and be able to multi task.

The Role

This is an exciting role at the heart of the hedge fund industry. You will be a part of the Fund Coordination department undertaking the role of a Hedge Fund Specialist working primarily on our key products -- our Malta and Cayman fund platforms that cater for Fund Managers wanting to run a fund on our platform trading everything from standard financial instruments to crypto assets. The role will give you a wide insight into the fund industry in different jurisdictions, but also give you a unique overall knowledge behind the legal, operational/administrative, and compliance aspects that take place behind a traditional and crypto fund.

Your daily responsibilities will be to:

• 1. Cater for new Fund Managers wanting to join our platform i.e. by setting up their hedge fund.

a. The position requires ongoing discussions with potential Fund Managers with regards to everything from their fund prospectus to marketing of their fund;

b. it requires constant communication and coordination with the funds' service providers including regulators, auditors, fund administrators, AKJ's legal department, and directors of the fund.

• 1. Coordinating the client take-on process by performing among other things, due diligence on new potential Fund Managers.

• 1. Cater for existing Fund Managers and their fund: by dealing with general fund queries and administrative fund requirements, by investigating local jurisdiction rules on access etc./by organizing changes to the prospectus of the fund etc. with AKJ's legal department/by adding third party providers to the fund.
