Aker Solutions Are you the Department Manager - Instrument, Electrical, Telecom we are looking for?

Aker Solutions' department for Instrument, Electrical, Telecom and Integrated Operations based in Bærum, Norway is responsible for providing FEED and Detail Engineering services mainly to topside greenfield projects and a wide range of subsea projects and products. We need a successor to the current manager who can further develop the staff, hereunder competence and working methods in order to strengthen our team and to accommodate for the expected growth in the market.

We are now looking for aDepartment Manager - Instrument, Electrical, Telecom

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Develop the department according to Aker Solutions' values and business strategies
• Maintain flexibility of existing systems, tools and working methods for the execution of topside greenfield and subsea projects
• Ensure capability, development and delivery of qualified engineers, and lead personnel to the target projects and products
• Facilitate training and provide coaching and guidance to discipline/group leads and other employees through Performance Management to ensure competence development
• Establish department budget and ensure that budget goals are met
• Ensure HSE commitments and goals are met within the department
• Participate in tendering activities
• Support the Engineering Global Mandate in their tasks and initiatives

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. with a solid background within electrical, instrument or telecom engineering
• Ideally 10 years' experience of greenfield topside projects and/or subsea projects or products
• Ideally 3 years' experience as a manager or team lead in a project and/or line organisation
• Extensive understanding of Aker Solutions, its segments and Delivery Centers
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to create and maintain excellent relationships at all levels of the organization
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness
• Ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner
