We are now looking for aSenior System Engineerwho will be part of a cross functional team consisting of business development, marketing, finance, system and core technologies.
The Senior System Engineer will report to the Head of Engineering floating wind and be part of the Products delivery centre. Aker Solutions main office is located in Fornebu / Bærum, but this position can also be located on other sites.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Studies/FEED on floating wind concepts in collaboration with the FrontEnd Delivery Centre
- Bid and tender activities in collaboration with the Customer Management Delivery Centre
- Wind park availability analysis and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) strategies
- Interface with 3rd party engineering service providers
- Coordinate Patents and Intellectual Property strategy in collaboration with the Products Delivery Centre
- Contact with academia / universities in collaboration with the Products delivery centre
- Present at conferences and Brand Aker Solutions as System Integrator
- Industrialisation/fabrication Engineering of floating structures
- Interface with wind turbine manufacturers
- Define execution model for floating wind value chain
- Digitalisation for floating wind
- Collaborate and interface with PPI (partner on floating wind structure) and its technology development
- Development of technology, strategic partnerships and the supply chain
- Collaborate with business development on strategic opportunities
- Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
- BSc/MSc degree in a relevant subject
- 5+ years' relevant experience from energy/renewables/offshore markets or deliveries (system engineer, cables/umbilical, power systems, floating structures)
- Experience in growing a business, product or offering or alternatively a start-up
- Strong knowledge of energy/offshore industry execution and delivery
- Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural understanding
- Technical knowledge that is of benefit to the Offshore Floating Wind market
- Self-starting leader with proven entrepreneurial track record
- Track record of delivering and outward focused
- Confidence-inspiring to internal stakeholders and partners
