Siemens - Future Grid
The growing demand for photovoltaic solutions and various applications of battery storage devices and medium-voltage grid connections, as well as the growing fleet of electric vehicles, offers growth opportunities for the Future Grid organization within Siemens.
Siemens modular storage system ensures an available and reliable power supply by charging energy when it’s produced and releasing it when it’s needed. Thanks to power electronics modules that fit to a variety of battery systems, power fluctuations are compensated, thereby improving grid stability and the efficiency of equipment.
When it comes to state-of-the-art power grids, Siemens offers innovative solutions and comprehensive experience across the entire range of electrotechnical equipment for photovoltaic systems, including optimum interconnection of energy storage systems and even complete microgrids. The new electrical Balance of Plant (eBoP) solution for photovoltaic installations enables solar power to be intelligently integrated into the grid. The portfolio includes all electrotechnical equipment needed. Siemens offers complete end-to-end planning, engineering, and financing, all the way to commissioning and service.
You will be responsible for developing and selling new business solutions in the market. This will include the whole sales process from building relationships, prospecting of new clients to closing business deals. Continuous dialogue and co-creation with new and existing customers are a key to success. You will have budget responsibility and are calculating offers as part of bid teams. Our Global Headquarter and Nordic&Baltic team will assist you. With joint efforts we strive to succeed in this new business area. You will report to Business area manager for Distribution Systems.
Ideally you will have experience within the Future Grid segment, focused on Storage or grid scale PV products and solutions. An engineering background with a proven track record of delivering projects and be motivated to take on a sales role. You will be driven and motivated by achievement of targets and results, with the ability to think “out of the box”, understanding our customer needs and have a collaborative approach to working. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English is required, Finnish and/or Swedish are an advantage. This opportunity requires travel which may include some over night stays.
