Roxar Project Manager- New Product Development

The Project Manager leads the organization and all activities, from idea to commercial market launch, for new product development related to the Downhole Business Line. The ability to lead a team, establish clear plans and drive progress and communications across all functional areas are critical parts of this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Undertake leadership in new product development projects.
• Ensure that projects are managed and executed in accordance with applicable company process and procedures.
• Ensure an effective communication across functional areas to ensure team members are well informed about project goals, activities and priorities. Motivate and assist team members to work in a professional manner in line with established goals and contribute to a good working environment.
• Responsible for hosting project steering group meetings and provide update on budget and schedule to senior leadership.
• Overall responsibility for HSE & Quality in own projects and take action for improvements whenever needed.
• Plan, monitor and control project cost, time and resources (CTR's) by establishing and maintaining cost budget, project and resource plans.
• Responsibility for project plan and baseline schedule. Continuous monitoring of actual plan and case line schedule with respect to project requirements and actual progress.
• Continuous monitoring of actual and forecast cost compared to budget. Perform corrective actions on deviations whenever needed.
• Provide financial updates on budget and actuals on projects as required.
• Responsibility for preparing presentations and delivery score cards for stage gate reviews.
• Understand project requirements and contractual documents. Take ownership of project specifications to ensure that projects are delivered accordingly. Continuous monitoring of requirements with regards to quality, design, performance and implementation.
• Contribute with new ideas and suggestions of improvement whenever expedient.
• Effectively manage changes in specifications, arising either from internal or external requests.
• Act professional and constructive in relations with customers, sponsors, funding authorities, consultants, subcontractors, E&D partners and any other relevant parties.
• Actively promote patent and IP protection opportunities related to project results. Ensure that all ideas and proposals resulting from project activities are well documented and handled according to prevailing procedures.
• Actively seek synergy effects through re-use of existing knowledge, technology and solutions. Ensure that alternative solutions and concepts are evaluated properly in the project.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Higher education (Bachelor / Master) in project management, petroleum, engineering or similar.
• Proven track record in project management is required. The employee must be able to work with different technical and functional disciplines, as well as being able to handle shifting and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to resolve issues, make decisions and provide advice and guidance to project team members and managerial staff.
