The ONE-Dyas Norge Business Development and Commercial Manager roleis responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating and completing new business opportunities in Norway, as well as leading commercial negotiations for existing assets, within a delivery driven, fast moving environment. Critical to success will be the ability to provide practical expertise and support to the organization
The position will be based in Stavangerand reports to the Managing Director of ONE-Dyas Norge AS. The incumbent will have a functional reporting to the ONE-Dyas Commercial Director in Amsterdam. He/she will also be working closely with the other ONE-Dyas staff in Stavanger as well as the commercial team and management in the Amsterdam based organization.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, and relentlessly chase new investment opportunities in Norway aligned with the ONE-Dyas strategy
- Maintain an effective Business Development network and be represented in relevant organizations and fora
- Maintain and evergreen an opportunity funnel on the NCS, integrated with the global business opportunity funnel
- Manage the ONE-Dyas portfolio of oil- and gas-sales agreements in Norway
- Market and negotiate sales contracts as required
- Provide commercial support to the asset managers for existing and new operational commercial agreements
- Represent ONE-Dyas Norge in the Commercial Committee for the larger assets
- Provide ad-hoc support to Legal and Finance, e.g. commercial input to audit findings or dispute resolution
- Provide commercial support on acquisition or divestment projects and to lead selected transactions during commercial negotiations
- Jointly work with ONE-Dyas' General and Legal Counsels during the legal phase of transactions, and provide support towards deal execution and completion
- Independently carry out economic analysis where necessary and to support Finance and/or the senior Economist during economic evaluations
- Support the Management team during the strategy and business planning cycles
- Externally engage with joint venture partners, regional industry players, financial institutions and brokers to further strengthen ONE-Dyas' position in the upstream space
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The position as Business Development and Commercial Manager requires an innovative thinker with the capacity to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines. Given the mix of strategic and tactical commercial challenges, the role demands an individual with strong business acumen and commercial mind-set.The candidate will be comfortable dealing with all commercial aspects of new and existing ventures, that range from pre-development studies, development projects, production operational phases through to decommissioning.
The candidate has a broad network in the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry with recent and extensive BD experience
Technical and personal skills should further include:
- Relevant University degree or equivalent, e.g. in Economics, Petroleum Engineering or Business Science
- 15+ years of work experience in the upstream E&P Industry, of which a material part has been spent in commercial roles
- Proven track record on commercial gas- and oil- sales affairs, economic evaluation, commercial contract negotiations, JV Management, A&D work and deal creation
- Good understanding of (sub)surface EP disciplines and related technologies
- Ability to identify critical issues and maintain a grasp on detailed commercial issues while working toward the wider strategic or commercial objectives
- Excellent external focus and business acumen
- Well-developed communication skills
- Ability to speak Norwegian as well as fluent English language skills
- Proactive, self-starting and entrepreneurial mind-set and skills
- Excellent team player, complementary to the existing ONE-Dyas team diversity
