Logistics Coordinator, temporary position

Mowi Feed is one of the newest divisions within Mowi. Having started manufacturing in June 2014, Mowi Feed has quickly established itself as a competitive supplier of salmon feed playing a key role in supporting Mowi Operations in its delivery of high quality, nutritious, safe and profitable salmon.

In February 2017, permission to open a second fish feed plant on the Isle of Skye in Scotland was granted. The plant will manufacture a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon growth in Scotland, Ireland, Faeroes and in Norway. The Norwegian Feed Plant at Valsneset produces more than 350 000 tons of salmon feed yearly.

Due to leave we are seeking a structured and highly motivated Logistics Coordinator for a temporary position for one year, starting as soon as possible and the period will last till end of September 2020.

Role and Responsibilities:

The position is placed within our Planning and Logistics team. You will actively contribute to continuous improvement and support the entire organization, both in Norway and in Scotland together with your colleagues.

In your daily tasks you will manage the distribution of salmon feed products from our factory in Bjugn to our farming locations in Norway. Together with the team, you have the responsibility for cost-effective utilization of our feed vessels, delivery planning, route planning and cost control. The team is also responsible for unloading and efficiently storing of raw materials for feed production. You will also be responsible for planning and monitoring of raw materials at Valsneset. You are a passionate and proactive individual with high sense of problem solving.

Qualifications/Skills

As a minimum, we require applicants to be qualified to a degree level within business, economics, logistics and/or ability to demonstrate experience in a similar role.This is a position that requires a high level of accuracy and structure and a good knowledge for MS Office and management tools such as M3 and SharePoint is an advantage. We also expect you to have good communication skills in both English and Norwegian. The working language is English. You have good interpersonal skills, able to work alone or part of a team, the right attitude and mindset supporting our vision and values.

This position is based at our production facility in Bjugn, Norway, and you will report to the Logistics Director.
