Höegh LNG is searching for a Fleet Management Controller in a temporary position of 12 months. Fleet Management Controller is responsible for completing monthly, quarterly and annual closes for the Groups OPEX. The person is also responsible for completing the local statutory financial statements for Höegh LNG Fleet Management AS in accordance with applicable accounting standard (NGAAP) and for reporting OPEX reports monthly to Management.
Scope of Work
Maintain, develop and streamline relevant processes, routines and procedures such as purchasing, payroll, scanning and approva
Ensure compliance with accounting methods, policies and principles in routine guidelines
Responsible for accurate accounting of OPEX and technical management accounting (classification and periodization etc)
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual controlling and reconciliations for fleet
Prepare budget reports and reconciliations to actuals cost for fleet management
Monthly updates of OPEX
Contact point and controller for Vessel Accounting team in Manila- Philippines
Providing as required also in in liaison with the Manila team, OPEX documentation for the Groups auditor (PBC lists etc. reconciliations of Payroll during quarter end and year end audits)
Ensure compliance between internal agreements and accounting (technical management fee, intercompany etc.)
Support and providing information in periodical external clients audits.
Ensure that the Vessel Accounting team (Manila) has updated knowledge and competence on relevant laws, rules and regulations regarding accounting and financial governance
Qualifications
3-5 years experience in similar position
Higher degree in finance/accounting/business studies
Relevant experience in working with financial statements (P/L Balance sheets forecasting)
Knowledge of internal controls
Knowledge of applicable tax and financial reporting requirements
Solid computer skills including working with general ledger systems
Proficiency in English written and oral
