The Revenue Management team is responsible for maximizing ticket and ancillary revenue for every flight within Norwegian's route network. As Pricing Analyst you are a vital part of this team. You will determine the optimal fare structure to maximize the flight's revenue. You have a clear understanding of the relationship between product, price and volume, and to supply and demand. You work close with our Revenue Analyst teams, Distribution team and Product department, as well other internal stakeholders to find ways to drive and optimize total revenue.
You report to Head of Pricing and Ancillary Optimization and work closely with the other members in our team to optimize revenue across the whole route network.
Main Responsibilities:
• Responsible for tactical and structural pricing
• Day-to-day pricing review/benchmark
o Use of fare change monitoring tool or though checks of other airlines' websites
o To share relevant info to Optimization Teams and decide together the necessary response
o To instruct and coordinate with filing team the required fare changes
o To check filed fares and ensure fares in the system are correct
• Work with other departments on pricing-related projects
• Impact analysis of price changes and coordination with relevant stakeholders for any follow-up action
• To identify areas of improvement within pricing
• To review/coordinate with Sales and Optimization Teams regarding private fares across different channels
• Responsible for managing Group-related matters (AGM)
Reporting and communication:
• Engage in dialogue with other internal stakeholders in the organization, and secure that they are informed about market development, revenue development and need
• Prepare for and participate in internal meetings
• Engage in best practice sharing and dialogue within the RM team
• Engage in RM related analysis/projects as required
• Maintain a good dialog with other relevant departments
Best practice, training and system processes:
• Develop best practice routines for the team and secure alignment across markets and products
• Coordinate marketing activities on behalf of team
Formal background:• University degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or general business studies
• Prior experience from airline and/or travel industry, preferably from revenue management
• Understanding of Pricing, GDS, and ATPCO tools will be an advantage
• Commercial and financial understanding
• Proficiency in English-written and oral
• Excellent knowledge in excel
