Do you have a passion for humans and technology, and how to get people to collaborate better?
Tomorrow's world-class collaboration products are developed in-house at Cisco Lysaker, and we are now looking for someone to join our team. Are you a person who likes to get stuff done, enjoys exploring technology, and is always looking for ways to improve it? Do you enjoy writing code, but don’t necessarily see yourself as a full-time software developer? Perhaps this is a role for you!
We are a team of 350+ highly engaged, skilled and fun multidisciplinary engineers, and we need to talk to each other, show empathy and work together to develop fantastic products. In this role, you will be a key driver for great user experiences and quality for products used and relied on by millions every single day. As a person, you are more than happy to ask questions and to provide feedback – both positive and negative – constructively.
As embedded in one of our scrum teams, you are going to be in the middle of all of the exciting technology and ideas that are developed here. You will have close and everyday contact with software developers, product owners, UX designers, as well as other stakeholders – and therefore, good interpersonal skills are key for your success in the role.
The responsibilities include qualitative and exploratory testing during the sprints, picking apart user-stories and questioning design, digging through logs and troubleshooting technical problems – and probably most important of all: understanding our users and their needs. Our automated acceptance tests are written in Python, so any experience with Python (or similar languages) and developing meaningful tests is a plus.
Our dream candidate has
- Relevant education (bachelor's or higher)
- 2+ years of working experience in a similar role
- An interest in product development and team dynamics
- An urge for continuous product and process improvement
- Great interpersonal skills
- A knowledge-sharing mentality
- A willingness to learn and adapt
