Orkla is strengthening the Business Area (BA) teams with the aim to enable a more efficient organization with faster decision processes and implementation of initiatives to improve local competitiveness, drive initiatives across Business Units (BUs) and identify/implement larger structural moves.
Moving the Operations team from Orkla Group Operations to reporting to the BA Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a key initiative to focus the operations agenda in the BAs. The BA Operations team is the key stakeholder to achieve significant cost improvements and improved supply chain efficiency. Furthermore, the team will drive projects (including factory footprint) and associated action plans to realize ambitious BA cost targets.
With Operations organized on a BA level, each team member will increasingly be important also in methodology development and best practice sharing, to learn from and teach expertise to peers in the Operations team in other BAs.
We are looking for a Project Consultant to join our Confectionariy & Snacks BA Operations team.
Main responsibilities
•Drive smaller efficiency and improvement programs or moduleswithin the areas of manufacturing efficiency, logistics, planning and network set-up
•Responsibility to deliver agreed module/theme on timeto enable projects impact according to set plan
•Plan, organize and steer Operations projects or modules, be the consolidating force and topic expert in projects carried out in BAs/BUs
•Work hand in hand with BU Operations teamto achieve set targets and deploy capabilities in the receiving organization
•Identify potential value creating projects acrossBUs and raise to BA COO to include in short and long term strategy and project plan
•Contribute to Operations area expertise development in BAwithin specified focus area, drive best practice agenda across BUs and BAs to both learn from and teach other BAs through established processes and informally
Main tasks and projects• Deliver on site Operations improvement projects across Orkla's manufacturing sites in the Nordics and Baltics (3-4 on site days a week)
• Plan and execute Operations improvement projects, secure needed expertise and skills are in place to realize target potential
• Work together with local BU resources on projects, include, motivate and coach them in Operational team on site
• Assist in problem identification and choice of solution
• Contribute to workshops and project presentations to create largest possible and sustainable impact by enabling receiving BU
• Structure and develop documentation to continuously develop BA/Orkla expertise on area including specific learnings in projects

Educational level, degree etc.
• Master/Bachelor degree or equivalent within relevant field, together with relevant work experience or work experience with strong track record from role on level applied to.
Experience & functional competences
• 2-3 years of experience of supply chain roles, manufacturing improvement work, or as a controller with supply chain exposure
• Proven track record of successfully working in and/or leading teams
•Operations efficiency generalist
- Functional competence and track record from working with the following functional areas: Labour efficiency, Material efficiency, Machine efficiency, Leadership/MBWA, Change management and waste reduction
•Planning and S&OP
- Functional competence and track record from working with the following functional areas: S&OP, Production/Staff scheduling, Inventory management and SKU rationalization/complexity reduction
•Network and logistics
- Functional competence and track record from working with the following functional areas: Manufacturing footprint optimization, competence transfer, equipment moving, business case development, communication plan development and logistics flows optimization
•Technology development and digitalization
- Functional competence and track record from working with the following functional areas: Capex optimization, Factory layout, Automation, Digital proof of concept projects and Technology maintenance optimization
• Project management and planning skills, preferably within operations improvement projects
• Change management capabilities, and ability to drive efforts for sustainable results and changed ways of working
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including skills in fact-based argumentation
• Experience with OC&S technology and operations is an advantage

Language skills
• English (written/oral)
• Scandinavian language preferred but not required
