The main purpose of the position

As our General Counsel, you will be leading and coordinating all legal aspects of our projects from origination, through developing, financing, building, and operation of our solar power plants. You will be working across the Norsk Solar execution and business development teams, as well as Management. In this position, you will have a good mixture of tasks that is well-positioned towards a career within the renewable energy sector. You will report to the CEO, with heavy involvement with VP Business Development, VP Procurement, and VP Operations.

Location will be in Oslo or Stavanger, Norway.

Key Activities:

· Leading and coordinating processes with external foreign/local legal counsel, including stakeholder due diligence, KYC, local law adaptations of contracts and similar;

· Drafting, designing, reviewing, and negotiation of Norsk Solar contracts, such as Loan Agreements, Shareholder’s Agreements, Investment Agreements, NDAs, Client agreements, Term Sheets, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), Supply Agreements, and Service contracts;

· Risk identification and mitigation;

· Support in identifying and setting up the right domiciles for our Regional HoldCos and Project SPVs

Qualifications

· Minimum 5-year law degree within relevant work experience;

· The candidate must have proven experience in mastering the type of agreements listed under Key Activities;

· We prefer candidates with concrete experience from the solar and the energy sector;

· Fluent in English, written, and orally. Other languages, especially Spanish, French and Portuguese, is preferred;

· You are meticulous, with excellent perception and with an ability to notice details and finding inconsistencies;

· You thrive in negotiations where you can combine your business acumen with knowledge of legal frameworks and commercial considerations;

· You have experience from and you are motivated to work in a diverse cultural environment;
