In Nestlé Purina Petcare, we market and sell food for cats and dogs through the Retail, E-commerce and Specialist channels and as MDO Manager you are part of Nordic Market Development team. You will also be part of international Nestlé organization with many exciting challenges and possibilities to build a large network. The Nordic Purina team is today around 60 people.

Your responsibility and tasks
As MDO Manager you drive category development in the channels, making sure we create value for the shoppers, the retailers and Purina. MDO is an externally focused strategic function passionate about winning with shoppers through the category lens. It acts as a connector between marketing and sales communities.
The key responsibilities include leading annual commercial planning process and executing it together with our commercial teams. You play significant role in unlocking category growth opportunities with our customers and together with our KAMs you meet our customers regularly. You monitor our commercial performance and track that we meet the category objectives we have set for ourselves.
At Purina we have a sophisticated Category Strategy and we always aim for sustainable long-term category growth. We transform market and competitor analysis to conclusions and concrete actions. We need someone therefore, who is sociable yet comfortable with analysis work -- you should enjoy both.
Your main stakeholders internally are our Nordic Purina Commercial team and the Norwegian Nestlé Field Sales and Customer Marketing team. You will also be collaborating with teams from other Nestlé categories as well as with our Purina EMENA MDO network. Externally you interact mainly with local market insight and promotion agencies and with retailers and merchandizers.
In the position you report to our Nordic MDO Manager and you will be based in our office in Lysaker. Conditions allowing, some travel to our Nordic HQ in Copenhagen is required, we estimate it to be less than once a month for a few days stay.
Your experiences and qualifications
In order to be successful in this role we see that you have previous experience from a commercial role within an FMCG organization. You can have been a key account manager, a category manager/analyst or in a trade/brand marketing position. In this role you need a highly developed ability to think and act commercially as well as strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. You should feel comfortable preparing commercial plans in interaction with your Nordic colleagues. You are confident with your work but also attentive to feedback and continuous improvement.
We see that you have a university degree, are fluent in Norwegian and English and we assume you are PC literate.
