Program Manager - Engineering Cisco Systems

What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Program Manager you will over time have the opportunity to lead and Program Manage various type of projects including

• External product development programs fully or partly using 3rd party development partners
• In-house short- or longlived cross-functional programs centered around for example product cost savings initiatives, development process improvements, SW centric engineering programs, new technology explorations, Circular Economy initiatives and others.
• End-to-end hardware product development projects primarily staffed by in-house engineering resources

Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of the Hardware Engineering Group leadership team and will have the opportunity to help drive the larger organization and product portfolio forward. The role will interface and work with many parts of the Cisco organization, both various disciplines internally within engineering, but also other groups including Product Management, Design, Supply Chain, Finance and Senior Leadership. There is also often a need to actively engage and work with external suppliers or partners, as well as other Cisco teams around the world.

• Structured approach to managing programs including budgeting, planning and reporting – combined with strong chaos-navigation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Forward-leaning and risk-willing – balanced with pragmatic trade-offs as needed
• Ability to work with stakeholders and navigate through complex context
• Ability to facilitate and drive through decisions
• Ability to lead and manage multiple parallel programs at once
• Preferably experience and knowledge from one or several companies/disciplines related to hardware/embedded development
