DevOps Engineer Cisco Systems

What You’ll Do

We need a self-motivated and curious team member to help Cisco deliver high quality software to our customers.

Together with your team, you’ll be responsible for the entire deployment pipeline for the Lysaker video conferencing devices.

This involves implementing, maintaining and monitoring multiple services. The services are mainly API/Web services written in Python, and they each have their own responsibility in the pipeline. In one typical day, the pipeline runs ~20000 system level tests spread across ~1000 devices in the lab.

Another part of the job is to deploy software to our customers on a regular basis. With metrics sent from the customers devices you are able to verify the deployment and potentially act on failures in the field.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be working in a small scrum team with lots of experience in software testing and building continuous deployment pipelines for embedded software. This position will definitely make you work closely with a lot of the other scrum teams in our group. As a group we work with everything from hardware and low-level programming to user experience design.

Who You Are

• Experienced in software development, preferably with API/Web services
• Comfortable with Python as programming language
• Good understanding of software testing and test driven development
• Interested in working in a DevOps environment
• Enjoy working in teams
• Solid academic record
• Good English verbal and written skills
