Our Finance Graduate Program
ConocoPhillips Norway is looking for two graduates with a master's degree in business related studies. Start date will be September 1, 2021.
The one-year Finance Graduate Program lays a broad and strong foundation for future careers within the Finance department in ConocoPhillips. The Finance organization plays a key role in managing the day-to-day business and a graduate position offers you the opportunity to gain a holistic view of the oil and gas industry, as well as a broad understanding of the elements that drive our activities. The program combines exciting work task, technical and non-technical training, mentoring and networking opportunities to accelerate the development of our early career professionals.
This unique start gives our graduates a strong business and organizational understanding which will benefit their future careers.
In addition to the day-to-day development and challenges, a Finance graduate will participate in a graduate program together with other graduates in ConocoPhillips Norway.
After successful completion of the graduate program, you will be offered a position within the ConocoPhillips Finance organization. The first year will be spent on rotational assignments within different disciplines, offering real tasks and challenges all the way. As a Graduate you will be involved in various tasks, and during the assignments you will be challenged to develop your skills along with the interdisciplinary teams you work with, developing your working and communication skills essential to our business.
These assignments provide a golden opportunity to get to know the organization, and better plan for further career developments. Common for all assignments is that you will be working with real issues actively contributing to the business unit's goals.
During your first year with ConocoPhillips you can expect to have formal training, including New Hire courses.

Required Qualifications
- Current level in college: master student in business related studies (Economics, Business, Accounting, Auditing, Finance etc.) with graduation spring 2021.
- No more than two years working experience in September 2021.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, with a practical approach to problem solving
- Good interpersonal communication skills, in addition to both written & oral presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Able to utilize IT tools to solve tasks
- Structured, process oriented and hands-on
- Ability to deliver with high quality, on time
- Dependability and adaptability
- Proactive, with a high level of initiative
- Integrity and trustworthiness
- Legally authorized to work in Norway on a permanent full-time basis
- Preferable average grade B or higher
Work location
The position is located onshore in our office in Tananger.
