About the role
In collaboration with Wilhelmsen we are now looking for a new Product Marketing Manager Ropes. From market knowledge, changes in market conditions and customer requirements, the Product Marketing Manager will design, develop, implement and drive existing and new concepts and offers through Sales, Customer Services and Operations.
Timm Ropes, now owned by Wilhelmsen is a traditional Norwegian brand that was established in 1772 and has an exciting development during the last years where safety and innovations are in the focus. They introduced the market’s first Snap Back Arrestor that received excellent response in the market and developed a new digital solution like the Smart Ropes. This year they have been awarded the MPA International Safety@Sea Award in 2020 for demonstrating innovation in technology/systems and design/training for safety at sea within the maritime industry and demonstrating substantive safety-related contributions recognized by the maritime industry.

Job duties
- Responsible for assigned products and services within the Ropes product portfolio
- Be the champion for the portfolio and professionally manage the offer through the product life cycle
- Develop, drive and support new growth initiatives to WSS
- Continuously manage the marketing mix (7 P’s) of the offer, particularly price positioning and promotional activities to drive profitable growth
- Maintain the product catalogue updated at all times reflecting the active product mix
- Maintain and develop supplier relationship with strategic important suppliers to WSS
- Develop and maintain appropriate training of the offer for Sales, Customer Services and Operations, as well as for customers
We are looking for
- Formal education either bachelor or master’s degree or other relevant degree
- Preferred 1-3 years’ experience in product management in organizations applying international standards including experience working as a product marketing manager
- Relevant internships, summer jobs or similar experience will also be considered
- Technical understanding or interest is a must
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with domestic and international stakeholders and counterparts
- Marine experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written)
