Corporate Lawyer
As the regulatory landscape for international insurance providers like Gard gets increasingly complex, the role of corporate lawyers plays a crucial part in the interface between business, strategy and the law.
To further strengthen Gard’s Group Legal department in Arendal we are now looking for a lawyer to join the team.
As a corporate lawyer in Group Legal you will play an important role in ensuring the Gard group achieves its objectives in compliance with applicable laws and regulations globally. You will have the opportunity to work with all central business units and provide advice on a variety of complex legal issues within several different areas of law, including company law, employment law, tax/VAT law, contract law and financial crime (AML/CTF, sanctions, corruption).
You will work with highly engaged and knowledgeable colleagues based in Arendal and many of Gard’s world-wide offices, including Oslo, London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Bermuda and Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will report to the Vice President for Group Legal and form part of the Group Legal function in the Legal and Corporate Affairs department.
The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in law with excellent academic results and at least 1-3 years of post-qualification experience. Work experience within a law firm or as in-house counsel would be an advantage.
