Wellit We are looking for a Financial Controller for our exciting company with customers world wide!

Role and Responsibility

• Contribute to providing comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
• Contribute to guiding financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
• Provide input to achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
• Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
• Issue and ensure correct and timely invoicing of projects.
• Control accounts payable and receivables
• Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
• Manage the company's finances, including financial planning, financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.

Primary activities

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs, and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
• In conjunction with the Finance Manager and the CFO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards regularly
• Consistently follow accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all entities upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
• Oversee work and support the accounting consultants
• Plan, organize and execute financial tasks and projects
• Participate in estimate funds required for the short and long-term financial objectives
• Manage the accounting services provided by various suppliers in the UK, US, and Norway, including ensuring relevant financial reports are produced, leading the month-end closing process, and conducting monthly financial forecast
• Ensure withheld tax issues are managed
• Manage company personnel insurances
• Contribute to relevant grants, eg. Skattefunn
• Contribute to develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Maintain the strategy for managing multiple currencies
• Provide financial insight and analysis to drive business performance
• Evaluate and report on the financial performance of the organization.
• Understand and mitigate financial risks

Background

• Bachelor or master in Economics
• 3 years relevant experience within finance and accounting
• Large work capacity and willing to learn
