The Digital Channel Development unit is responsible for defining and implementing the ambition for the customer experience in Norwegian’s digital channels. The unit consists of a group of digital product owners, user experience designers and digital specialists organized in smaller, product-oriented teams, and work cross-functionally with front-end developers and technology specialists to define, develop and improve the digital channel experience.
Norwegian aims to become a digital frontrunner within the airline industry and has an ambition to accelerate the ‘mobile-first’ approach for travelers building on a strong brand and significant channel traffic. The objective is to grow monthly active users (MAU), app engagement and app revenues, and to build a strong platform that serves as the key interface for customers from booking, trip planning, travel and arrive at destination, to the everyday engagement through Norwegians leading Reward and partner program. A key ambition for the mobile app team, which the Product Owner will lead, is to:
- Develop and operate best in class mobile experiences for the customer across the travel journey.
- Deliver friction-free, commerce- and conversion-oriented user experience in the mobile app.
- Secure that Norwegian has a strong mobile front-end that delivers on business objectives across the whole organization (sales, marketing, product, service, customer satisfaction)
You will be responsible for
Responsible for setting the product vision and roadmap for Norwegian's mobile app
Drive the process to define business objectives and use cases, prioritize product backlog, and manage needs (stakeholders), set priorities for the team, evaluate product progress.
Manage a cross-functional development team together with IT lead and collaborate with other digital product owners in the team.
Increase revenue and brand value through insight driven methodology, ensuring team’s efforts are answering our customers’ needs and desires.
Responsible for the product roadmap
- Gather needs and requirements from internal/external stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate to the team and create engagement.
- Ensure that requirements are transformed to user stories together with team.
- Prioritize the backlog for development.
- Create transparency around how the team prioritize and work with the rest of the organization.
- Coordinate and align with peers (other product owners / IT leads) and escalate
Secure good dialogue, processes, and collaboration with key stakeholders
Actively be the voice of the customer into projects / initiatives in NAS
Help remove blockers to that the team can focus on completing tasks (get things done)
Follow up on effects and results.
Ensure that the team works according to NAS priorities, KPIs and strategic agenda.
This job will be for you if
- You have a Master’s degree in engineering/technology, economics, product/service design, or similar
- You have 4-5 years of relevant experience
- You are experienced with leading digital development teams and building mobile applications.
- You are experienced in project management and agile software methodologies
- You have experience with user centric, data-driven and iterative methodology
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, with an innovative approach to business planning
