About the role
In Ava Security we help organizations see, understand, and act according to their surroundings. In Norway we are responsible for the complete design and development of all the hardware for our unique security cameras. Our team consists of mechanical, electronic, acoustic, component and embedded programmers and include several of the company’s engineering founders. As our new Hardware Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of design, prototyping, testing and manufacturing our core product; the cameras. You will deliver powerful intelligence to companies, helping them protect their people and uncover untapped operational insights with cloud video security.

Your everyday life will include:
- Designing, reviewing and updating all aspects of Ava’s electronics
- Hardware testing, troubleshooting and qualification
- Collaboration with manufacturing and sub-suppliers
- Examining and experimenting with use cases, test setups and camera technologies
Together with our video security department, you will get the opportunity to shape our unified security solution.

- Understand schematic design and CAD PCB layout
- Interested in scripting and low-level programming
