Position Summary
We are seeking a full-stack developer who, in collaboration with the bioinformatics group, will use their knowledge of database architecture, software development, and coding best practices to implement robust computational solutions to support Bio-Me’s laboratory information management system and results reporting efforts. This is a highly autonomous position; we are seeking someone who is proactive and self-driven. Previous experience in life sciences/biotech is not required. This position reports directly to the CIO.
Duties and Responsibilities

Take ownership of the development of Bio-Me’s laboratory webapp
Implementation of new features in collaboration with a backend developer
Front-end development (ReactJS)
Code base refactoring
Responsible for webapp deployment on AWS
Contribute experience and creativity to our scientific community and endeavors
Opportunities to contribute on bioinformatics pipelines if needed/interested, including developing ML/AI workflows
Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
Proficient in Python
Very good knowledge of ReactJS
Experience building RESTful APIs (Django/Flask)
Familiar with testing frameworks
Experience with Git for version control and collaboration
Experience using AWS or Azure cloud
Expert in using Unix
Nice to have:
Familiar with bioinformatics packages (Scikit-Bio, Biopython, etc.)
Experience working with Agile values (Scrum)
