Our Applied Analytics & AI unit is part of the Data & Analytics group in Gjensidiges Technology Division. The unit is responsible for behavioral data, data science and driving the data driven digitalization of the company, focusing on how analytics and analytical technology can enable great customer experiences and data-driven operations. From a technology perspective, the team's responsibilities include governance, best practices and innovation for behavioral data, analytical models, AI, reporting and data visualization. Gjensidige has a cloud-first strategy, and all the platforms run on public cloud. As a Gjensidige group function, the team works with all the business areas and markets of Gjensidige.

We are looking for a team manager who is passionate about creating business value from analytics and AI. You will lead and develop a highly engaged and competent team consisting of 14 employees. The team is based in Oslo.

We believe the right candidate is a business-oriented data & analytics leader with strong people skills and a keen interest in technology. You thrive on helping your team untangle and solve complex challenges in the intersection between business, analytics, and technology. You have relevant experience, ideally from an enterprise environment. You have a strong understanding how data can be leveraged to create actionable insights and competitive advantage. You know the key trends in analytics and AI in general and are prepared to be a driving force in implementing them in an enterprise setting.

As a leader you are passionate about helping your team succeed and have a strong track record of supporting and building up talent - helping team members advance in their own areas of strength. At Gjensidige, we believe in agile ways of working and agile leadership principles. As part of this, you will partner with business leaders and promote collaboration across technology teams and between the business and technology. You are comfortable diving into the details when this is required to help improve day-to-day operations but thrive when you to take a strategic outlook.

From an education perspective, you probably hold a relevant Master's degree, but relevant experience and a proven ability to acquire new skills is just as important. The working language in the team is Norwegian, so you need to be natively fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages. As the team engages with international partners, you also need to be business fluent in English.
