You will join our Energy Division in Norway
As our new Risk & Safety Engineer you will be part of a growing team with highly experienced members in our Energy Division in Norway. You will work closely with the Nordic Process and Safety team, giving you the opportunity to learn from the best and challenge yourself in a wide range of energy projects.
We conduct studies, FEEDs and detail engineering for major energy companies in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Our services include offshore wind, electrification, waste-to-energy, biofuel, carbon capture, hydrogen and oil & gas.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Establish governing Health and Safety documentation and philosophies
-
Develop strategies for Technical Safety disciplines
-
Follow-up to ensure that project design satisfies safety requirements
-
Preparation of Risk assessments and Quantitative Risk Analyses (QRA) for onshore facilities as well as offshore pipelines

Evaluating risk and risk reducing measures according to the ALARP principle, including cost benefit analysis

Functional safety
-
Performing consequence analysis e.g. fire, explosion and dropped object analysis

ATEX analyses and classification
-
Performing RAM analyses
-
Preparation of Safety reports as well as other related input to permitting processes with the authorities
-
Participating in safety/risk workshops where you will be responsible for workshop preparation and for documenting findings and actions. This includes both HAZID and HAZOP workshops

Developing mathematical models as required to adapt to the requirements of the safety assessments

B.Sc. or M.Sc.

Experience with multidiscipline projects
-
Min. 3 years' experience related to hazard identification and evaluation techniques (HAZOP, HAZID, ALARP, LOPA, etc.)

Min. 5 years' of experience with Risk & Safety engineering tasks from, for example, the Oil & Gas or Energy sector, Pharmaceutical or Chemical industry
-
Experience with performing risk assessments/risk modelling, consequence analysis and quantitative risk analyses
-
Experience with Phast simulation software is an advantage
-
Experience with RAM analysis is an advantage
-
Programming skills is an advantage

Good English and Norwegian skills – both verbal and written
