Our Material Technology Team in Krisiansund is now looking for Senior Material Engineers.What will you be doing?
- Perform material selections, define surface protection and evaluate insulation alternatives in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and fabrication & installation activities
- Monitor equipment or material manufacturers
- Ensure that project and vendor deliveries are performed according to contract requirements
- Visit project sites and sub suppliers/subcontractors and perform necessary QA activities
- Preparation of welding procedures, welding plans, production tests, follow-up of welders' qualifications and certificates
- Selection and calculation of additives, method development, etc.
We think you should have:
- Higher technical education (MSc) within relevant area (Metallurgy, Material Technology, Welding, Corrosion, Surface Preparation and Coatings). Relevant experience can compensate formal education requirement
- IWE certified
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Multi-discipline skills
- Good communication skills, both written and orally in Norwegian and English
- Good cooperation skills and interest for working in teams
