Job Description
The IT Infrastructure department (ITI) is responsible for global infrastructure deliveries and operations in Statkraft. Within the department there is now a newly established position available as Head of Cloud Infrastructure, reporting directly to VP IT Infrastructure. As a key member of the ITI management team this role contributes to the execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring that ITI fully aligns and supports the drive for increased business value.
The Head of Cloud Infrastructure brings experience, knowledge, and future vision for further transforming the IT Infrastructure department including its strategy, product- and service offerings and sourcing models to ensure all ITI deliveries and operations are enabling business capabilities and services across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities:
- Line management responsibilities (P&L and personnel) for Cloud Infrastructure
- Support the team in their career progression, nurture their development and help them realize their potential
- Build successful relationships with other key IT and business stakeholders
- Drive the development, execution and operation of the company's cloud strategy and roadmap
- Ensure that new initiatives are aligned with cloud architecture roadmaps and compliant with all relevant security and regulatory standards
- Help shape and lead transformational programs and projects around cloud
- Develop the maturity within IT regarding the benefits of cloud to improve efficiency, our ability to deliver new innovations and better understand the interaction between development, security and operations in a cloud context (e.g., through Agile, DevSecOps, Platform- and Product team approaches)
- Support business case creation on the value of cloud and help convince business and IT executives of the value of executing a course of action to improve business performance and value
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to cloud
Qualifications
Education & qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master's degree within relevant fields
- Ten or more years of experience in IT
- Three or more years of experience related to cloud computing infrastructure and related technologies as well as understanding of the potential in cloud delivery- and operating models
- Certifications related to relevant methodologies and frameworks, and cloud technology is a plus
Skills & experience
- Ability to help develop and communicate an IT Infrastructure vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy
- Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role
- Self-driven individual who solicits feedback from others to improve their performance
- Experience in cloud strategy, value realization, cost/benefit and business case activities related to cloud services
- Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and cost management
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Experience in cloud infrastructure and platform migrations as well as cloud application readiness and migration scenarios
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic staffing plan that ensures the right people are in the right roles at the right time, and employees are highly engaged and satisfied
- Third-party management, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorization.
