Job Description
As the Head of Technology, you will be a key individual supporting Statkraft’s growth ambitions in hydrogen globally. You will build and lead a team of subject matter experts across areas such hydrogen production plant, ammonia and e-fuels. We believe that you are a good fit for this role if you combine an analytical and structured approach with a strategic and industrial mindset. You will be expected to communicate effectively and work to build strong networks and partnerships. The role will be part of the development and technology leadership team in hydrogen and will report to the VP.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead a technology team to work closely with projects and stakeholders
- Develop our strategic approach and technical roadmap across hydrogen technologies
- Ensure the unit has technical authority across electrolyser plant and hydrogen derivatives
- Provide subject matter expertise to projects in development, M&A and procurement
- Develop and maintain our hydrogen technology outlook and key parameter forecasting
- Work closely with the Statkraft’s central R&D unit on product development programmes
- Support our digital approach across the power, hydrogen and derivative plant interfaces
- Maintain strong hydrogen OEM and hydrogen derivative equipment supplier relationships
- Clearly communicate positions and expectations of hydrogen technologies to management
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering/business/industrial economics or equivalent
- 7-years of energy industry experience, including hydrogen experience
- Experience with technology strategy processes and technology development programs
- Experience from developing hydrogen, e-fuel or ammonia plants is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, strong communication and presentation skills
- A flexible approach to work tasks and an ability to work on various initiatives concurrently
- Availability to travel to meet development teams, start-ups, suppliers, partners and clients
- Experience with developing operational and digital industrial solutions is an advantage
- Fluent in English, both oral and written. Norwegian/European languages are an advantage
