Job Description
As Head of Development, you will be a key individual supporting Statkraft’s growth ambitions in hydrogen globally. You will build and lead a team of hydrogen project development experts. Your team will work in close cooperation with country leaders and functional and project leadership. We believe that you are a good fit for this role if you combine an analytical and structured approach with a strategic and industrial mindset. You will be expected to communicate effectively and work to build strong networks and partnerships. The role will be part of the development and technology leadership team in hydrogen and will report to the VP.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead a team of hydrogen development professionals to support the project portfolio
- Establish key development competence and capacity across ammonia, hydrogen and e-fuels
- Ensure the unit has the authority in hydrogen and derivative system design and integration
- Work closely with the country leaders to ensure timely deployment of competent resources
- Mature internal processes and best practices within the development area for hydrogen
- Communicate clearly to senior management, project management and other key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with key internal units such as Projects, Procurement and Operations
- Maintain strong hydrogen OEM, EPC and derivative equipment supplier relationships
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering/PM/business/industrial economics or equivalent
- 7-years’ engineering or project experience, including time as a line manager
- Experience from developing hydrogen, e-fuel or ammonia plants is an advantage
- Energy experience is required, fuel switching, grid and gas-based experience is desirable
- A flexible approach to work tasks and an ability to work on various initiatives concurrently
- Project Management Professional PMP certification or equivalent is also desirable
- A strong understanding of development models and structuring deliveries e.g. for FEL 1 & 2
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, strong communication and presentation skills
- An ability to travel and work on projects across a wide geographical area
- Fluent in English, both oral and written. Norwegian/European languages are an advantage
