The Risers & Cables Section operates in solving challenges in the Energy market. Our section plays an important role in the energy transition as the world seeks to decarbonize energy production and transfer to green energy. The Section's product specialization is within risers, well systems, umbilicals and cables exposed to hydrodynamic loading. These products are vital in many market segments, like Offshore Wind, Floating Solar Power, Oil & Gas and Maritime. You will therefore work in a dynamic and exciting environment that actively works towards transitioning the global energy market towards a greener and more sustainable future.
Our team of 20 engineers deliver world class services that range from early concept, through detailed design and operations for riser and cable systems. We are a competence center related to the full life cycle of risers and cables, and take on the role as expert, solutions provider and standard setter for our clients. We are involved in projects all over the world, supporting our local offices and global clients. In Risers & Cables you will work closely with leading experts within their fields. In addition, you will work across other internal units and be involved in exciting cross-disciplinary projects.
We also invest heavily in research and development (R&D) in close co-operation with the industry, using our accumulated knowledge to develop tomorrow's standards and software products. Being in the forefront of digitalization, we are currently working with several exciting concepts that make our digital services leading within the energy industry.

What to expect as a Graduate in Risers & Cables:
- Be exposed to different challenges and tasks across the Energy market within slender marine structures such as Risers, Cables and Umbilicals

Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD degree in Marine, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Physics, Mathematics
- Commitment to work in line with DNV purpose, vision, and values
- Motivated, curious, and enthusiastic to work with analysis and wants to develop within this engineering segment
- Strong academic background in Hydrodynamics, Dynamic and Structural Analysis, Electrical, Data Science and/or Mathematics
- Programming skills in relevant languages, e.g. Python, Fortran, Matlab, etc.
- Excellent English skills, Norwegian is a plus
