IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Bring concerns about safety to the attention of area management and intervene when seeing unsafe activities.
• Works on mechanical assembly related activities for products manufactured in the Stavanger Factory
• Works on EB-welding, assembly, test, and calibration tasks for Emerson products according to defined procedures. Thoroughly documents all activities in defined report templates ensuring proper quality documentation as applicable to a given process. Enters data and performs computer transactions as appropriate.
• Welds the subassemblies according to the welding parameters prescribed in the work procedures.
• Bring concerns about product and process quality to attention of area management. And report any problems, deviations, or proposals for improvements in the Quality system.
• Support in improving production documentation and reports to help improve quality, reduce process waste, and increase productivity.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

Welding course certificate recognized in Norway;

• Technical college or similar and certificate of apprenticeship. Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying.
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of welding, preferably knowledge of Electron Beam-(EB) welding;
• Professional experience of 1-3 years as a welder, using materials such as stainless steel; or mechanical assembly job. If you don’t have the desired welding experience, please don’t let that stop you, we will train you.
• Experience in adjusting and monitoring the parameters of the welding regime, depending on the welding process, the materials used and the existing welding equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to obtain the appropriate qualifications as needed.
• Basic computer skills.
• High focus and knowledge of HSE
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written, visual, and verbal work instructions in English and Norwegian.
• Ability to perform work accurately with a high-level detail and capable of documenting work performed properly for the given process.
