Flåm Bakery has a 100% vacant position as a baker, with start-up as soon as possible. Flåm Bakery opened in 2016 and has had a fantastic development since then. We deliver a wide selection of products such as artisan bread, traditional Norwegian sweet buns and international classic pastries. In addition, our guests can find local juices, sandwiches and good barista coffee during a visit.
We are a small group of knowledgeable and committed bakers who are happy to share knowledge and inspiration. We also share the opinion that the most important thing to succeed in this role is that you have an interest, drive and commitment to baking. And although we have great respect for education, we believe that passion for baking and motivation to learn are the driving success factors for this position.
For the right candidate, we can offer an "apprenticeship at work" contract, which means that you work as a baker, at the same time you follow a training program and work up the necessary practical training to take the bakers exam, leading a formal skilled worker title as baker.
In addition to interest and motivation, we believe that you are a person who is capable of-and likes to- work independently and methodically. That you can prioritize tasks, think on your feet and see opportunities when unexpected things happen.
Tasks and areas of responsibility:
- Planning and execution of daily production
- Contribute to good cooperation and a working environment at the bakery
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Compliance with IK food procedures
- Contribute to high quality in products and development of new concepts
Qualifications, strictly necessary to be considered for the position:
- Driving license class B
- Work permit for Norway
- Communicate well in English
- Interest in baking
- Experience with baking
Qualifications, this is an advantage if you have
- Formal education as a baker
- Previous experience as a baker in a artisan bakery
