The unit is accountable for developing new state-of-the-art digital solutions to our customers, maintaining existing digital solutions and operating underlying IT platforms and applications. You will be allocated to one or more Delivery Streams with the purpose of developing and delivering high quality digital services to Nordea customers. Delivery Streams define our digital products and we look forward to get your input – not only through excellent coding, but also ideas and great input on how we can make better products faster.
As a Java engineer in S&IT you will be joining feature teams located across geographical areas, in the Nordics as well as global. We believe that self-managing teams with clear ownership of estimates, priorities and practices is the best way to get well-functioning, highly productive and effective teams working in close collaboration & commitment to a common team backlog.
Travel activities can be expected to some extent.

Your main objective will be to ensure that your team joins other Delivery Stream teams in delivering high quality digital solutions to our customers worldwide.
We expect you to:

Agile and in-depth technology experience is a must
We expect you:
•Will be dynamic in applying agile thinking and methods to teams collaborating on site and off-shore
•Appreciate to share all your insights with team colleagues and learn from them as well.
•Take ownership of the end-to-end process of development and ensure early test and quality assurance
•Have experience from multiple projects and believe a multi-cultural and cross geographical setting is a perfect setting for a great work place.
•Like to supplement your JAVA skills and have worked with e.g. ObjectiveC, Groovy, Python, .NET, C#
•Know how to create and use SOAP and REST services.
•Have done data modelling, or creation of database structures and regards this as part of your design and developer toolbox.
•Have experience in maintenance of business critical, high performance applications.
•Have applied TDD/BDD and practices/techniques used within these disciplines to improve the quality of your teams deliverables
•Are eager to help your team to continuously improve delivery capability and ways of working and excited about making usable, interactive interfaces
•Are excited about building things that have never existed and eager to find creative solutions to complex problems
•Are experienced enough to know what to build yourself and what not to and aware of what you don't know yet and excited about what to learn next
You have your interest, expertise and experience in Service layer development using the following applications & frameworks:
