As an intern you will get to know the fundamentals of capital markets from working closely together with experienced managers and traders within foreign exchange, interest rates and fixed income markets. You will assist daily operations on the dealing desk related to the money market, bond market, derivatives and cash market, and in addition support with analytical capacity on different areas related to our business. Nordic and InternationalGroup Treasury is responsible for managing the Group's balance sheet and ensuring an optimal utilisation of the balance sheet. Group Treasury is also responsible for securing competitive, stable and well diversified funding for the Group, by issuance of all debt instruments within the group including interbank.
Group Treasury is responsible for managing the liquidity in Nordea and for compliance with the Group-wide limits for liquidity risk, including managing the Group's liquidity buffer. Group Treasury is also responsible for Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) for the Group. Group Treasury is responsible for managing Nordea's market risk exposures in portfolios such as interest rate, FX positions and other risks on the Group's balance sheet.
Group Treasury is also central in managing the composition of capital and for compliance with regulatory requirement and limits for capital requirements.
Solid academic results, drive and enthusiasmWe want people who have the ability and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks, often with short deadlines. As an intern you will be involved in the daily work and solve cases related to our business areas. Applicants should preferable be aiming for a degree in economics, finance, engineering or equivalent and have a strong interest in the financial markets. You must have completed at least 2 years of your studies when the internship commence, and you enjoy having great personal responsibility as well as being part of a team.
To be able to succeed in this role you must have a can-do attitude and work hard to ensure timely deliveries. You should be able to swiftly gather information, structure it and present your conclusions for what reason MS Office skills are important, especially MS Excel. You must be fluent in written and verbal English and Norwegian.
