Our Career Opportunities - Brewing First Line Manager
The Role:
Working a 2 day, 2 night, 4 off shift pattern and reporting to the Brewing Manager, you will be responsible for leading your shift to achieve Brewing targets as well as driving continuous improvement in accordance with the Company and site environment and safety policies.
Duties:
- Adhere to Brewing production schedules to meet quality and demand needs
- Manage people including promote engagement initiatives within your department, lead shift handover meetings, manage work schedules, identify training needs, maintain union relationships, monitor and manage individual performance, annual one-on-one sessions and innovation programs
- Ensures performance as per related daily, weekly and monthly KPI- s and communicates corrective actions to corresponding meetings
- Contributes to the identification of improvement plans as reviewed during the daily, weekly and monthly meeting processes
- Report all relevant KPI- s e.g. production efficiencies, extract loss, productivity, energy, utilities etc.
- Actively seeks feedback and monitors progress against plans
- Carries out trouble shooting with maintenance department to issue root cause correction, identifies and executes process adjustments when required
- Participates in the daily, weekly and monthly departmental meetings
- Address safety concerns and incidents within department
- Comply with E&S, quality and HACCP standards
- Identify ways to increase team utilization & up skilling
- Assist with capital projects as required
You will need:
- To have clearly demonstrated situational leadership in brewing
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in related discipline
- Hold or be studying for the Diploma Master Brewer qualification of the Institute of Brewing
- Completed a Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation would be desirable
- Formal business qualifications would be advantageous
- Experience managing significant changes issues
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques
