Our UK Breweries - Samlesbury and Magor

Samlesbury Brewery:

Our Samlesbury brewery, located near Preston is less than 5 minutes drive from junction 31 of the M6. In a single day, Samlesbury brewery can produce 3.5 million bottles, 1.7 million cans and 17 thousand kegs which means the site's annual production capacity is approximately 2.5 million hectolitres per year. This is equivalent to more than 440 million pints of your favourite beer.

Magor Brewery:

Our Magor brewery is the "home of Stella Artois", and is located in South Wales which is less than 5 minutes drive from junction 23A of the M4, just over the Severn Bridge connecting England to Wales. In a single day Magor brewery can produce 3.8 million bottles, 4 million cans and 19 thousand kegs. The sites annual production capacity is approximately 5 million hectolitres, that equates to nearly 1 billion pints

Our Career Opportunities - Brewing Process Engineer
The Role:
Reporting to the Brewing Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support and be the key contact for all business critical projects within the department. You will balance the continuous search for new improved ways of working, together with the implementing agreed ways of working to ensure their sustainability, whilst being responsible for the department KPI's

Your day to day duties will include:

- Supporting department operation performance through daily, weekly and monthly KPIs
- Ensure the highest quality standards are achieved and optimized
- Daily follow up to ensure stable and sustainable processes
- Leading and supporting problem investigation and solving with your peers and the team
- Ensuring all projects are managed on-time and on-budget
- Balancing delivery timescale with perfection and to ensure maximum business effectiveness
- Leading improvement initiatives including minor projects
- Facilitating major Capex projects within the brewing department
- Ensuring compliance with corporate standards within your department
- Interfacing with equipment and material suppliers

You will need:

- To have clearly demonstrated situational leadership in brewing
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in related discipline
- Hold or be studying for the Diploma Master Brewer qualification of the Institute of Brewing
- Completed a Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation would be desirable
- Formal business qualifications would be advantageous
- Experience managing significant changes issues
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques
