The Primary Metal business area has a total annual production capacity of more than 2 million tons of primary aluminium and has around 5,000 employees in 16 countries. We produce primary aluminium, recycle and supply our customers with extrusion ingot, sheet ingot, foundry alloys and wire rod.
The Årdal Metal Plant consists of two production sites, one in Øvre Årdal and one in Årdalstangen. We produce Anodes in Årdalstangen and have a primary plant and a casthouse in Øvre Årdal. We have a total workforce of 546 employees. The products are used in a vast number of applications around the world, from door frames and advanced building facades, to cables used in the electrical power grid. The position is organized in the AMBS department, and reports to Unit Manager AMBS. Through the AMBS department, the candidate will be dedicated to a production unit, regarding development projects and other relevant tasks.
