Service > Service Denmark/Norway > Energy Control Coordinator Group

The Energy Control Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the Electrical Safety/Control of Hazardous Energy program in Denmark and Norway. Reporting to the Electrical Safety Lead for Denmark and Norway, the candidate will work closely with Line Management and technicians in both countries.

Vestas Northern Europe (NEU) is the Sales Business Unit for Scandinavia, UK, Poland and the Baltic countries - responsible for sales, project management, installation and service. Our customers' spans from high profiled corporations within the renewable energy sector to small and medium sized private investors.

The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind turbines within the Nordic countries. The department has an open and informal culture, where team work and good communication is the key to our success. Vestas is undergoing a positive development in Norway and together with our customers we need to install more than 300 wind turbines (+1.000 MW) over the next 4 years. To accommodate this growth we're establishing a new office in Trondheim. We are therefore looking for professionals that can help and support this growth.

Responsibilities

- Single point of contact to person in control of a work activity on site, with competences to give professional directives regarding Hazardous Energy.
- Work responsible for teams without a work responsible person according to EN 50110-1.
- Support function for technical planner and scheduler/service planner.
- Support of technicians with electrical issues.
- Review and approve Lock Out Tag Out instructions.
- Responsible for your group of technicians has the right educations and knowledge regarding Hazardous Energy.
- Provide Hazardous Energy Control training to the employees.
- Will conduct regular audits, inspections and reviews as required by the Control of Hazardous Energy Program.
- Will report to the Electrical Safety Lead, and will work closely together with Line Management (Service Manager and Team leaders).

Qualifications

- The Energy Control Coordinator must be a skilled electrical person, with work experience that enable him or her to analyse risks and to avoid hazardous in a windturbine.
- Work experience from the wind turbine or offshore-industry would be preferable.
- High level of Safety awareness and act as a role model in safe behavior.
- Good Norwegian and English skills in reading / writing, basic knowledge of MS Office and driver's license.
- Knowledge of NEK EN50110-1, FSE and relevant national laws and standards.

Competencies

- You have an education as an electrician or electrical contractor.
- Experience with operational management of high voltage installations would be preferable
- You have the right discipline and mentality to plan and organize your own working day.
- You need to be a role model in safety, and have the drive to inspire others.
- Good people and relationship-building skills.
- Personal drive and engagement.
- Presentation skills.

Additional information

Primary workplace is Trondheim, Norway. During the introductory period, there will be some trips for educational purposes to Denmark. Hereafter, approx. 40 travel days a year for meetings, continuing education and when visiting the technicians on site.

If the need arises in the future, you can be a part of a standby agreement that's covering weekends. You will be a key player in the future development of the our electrical safety program under EN 50110-1 across the EMEA region.
