Aftermarket Business Developer , Global Customer Support (KMC 17-033) Kongsberg Gruppen

Global Customer Support (GCS) division is responsible for all Kongsberg Maritimes (KM) services and support in the aftermarket. We perform more than 13000 onboard services a year and deliver product designed to maximize performance by providing THE FULL PICTURE. We cover on- and offshore, merchant marine, subsea, navy, coastal marine, training services and more.

We are searching for an analytical and structured aftermarket business developer with good knowledge of the marine industry. The right candidate will have the opportunity to make a strong impact on KM Customers Supports global market strategy and the possibility to pursue an international and challenging position with good opportunities for further development. 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the marine industry.
  • Ability to work with and motivate others within a matrix organization.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and oral

 

Main Tasks:

  • Identifying and development of new business opportunities for KM’s aftermarket.
  • Responsible for a further commercial development and increased market shares.
  • Develop new business models and a strategy for renewal of existing business models.
  • Support (GCS) Management with strategic product and service development.
  • Providing a strategic approach for our KSMs and Sales team to take full advantage of KMs large product portfolio.
  • Work with existing KM Marketing department, with suitable marketing of new products and services.
  • Further develop GCS market position by utilizing our large worldwide 24/7 network and KM’s installed base of 18000 vessels.
  • Work with closely with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
