Season position: mid April / 1st of May to end of August/ mid September 2017.

Start if possible after Easter.

We work on many project focused on cycling in Troms/Lofoten area and look for a professional bike mechanic excited about the opportunity to take care of our bikes this summer, and work in the bike rental center.
You woudl have whole bike service garage for yourself, great workmates and possibility to use all company bikes. Tromsø offers great areas for all kind of cycling.

Work responsibilities:

- Assembling ca. 100 new bikes, all of them produced by Merida,

- Spring service on bikes we have from previous season, but they were storage in good conditions so that should be piece of cake,
- Daily maintenance of the bike fleet at Tromsø Outdoor Rental Center (we have 170 bikes in all types - trekking, road, mtb, electric, fatbikes... lot of good bikes to play with).

- Work at Tromsø Outdoor Activity and Rental Center: renting bikes, advising visitors on where to go for their bike ride,

- Help with sale of the bikes after the season,

- Possibility to extend work period for the winter time for the right candidate (ski and snowshoe trips, rental service of skis, snowshoes, winter clothes etc.).

Position Requirements:
- Relevant experience in bike service is the most important for us.
- Familiar with or keen to learn about the opportunities Tromsø provides for cyclists.
- Good English spoken proficiency.
- Enjoying and used to working in a flexible international environment.
- Creative and solution oriented, able to work independently.
- Driving license is an advantage but not necessary.

Working Scheme:  variable shifts between 8.30 and 17, (7,5 hour work days), planned in advance, occasionally additional work in the evening

100 % position - 162 h/month, 2 days a week free, work during the weekends and public holidays will be required

We would prefer to find candidate for full time work but workposition 50-70%  is also an optionif you have other work or study and are interested in casual work, shorter hours every day
