The Instrument and Automation group within the engineering team consists of 51 highly qualified engineers with specialist competence in Automation, Field Instruments and Area design in field development projects. We contribute in all phases of the projects, from Front End studies to Detail design, Fabrication support and Commissioning - all in close cooperation with our clients, other engineering disciplines, vendors and fabrication sites.
We are looking for a Senior Safety and Automation (SAS) Engineer to work on large international projects within the oil and gas industryResponsibilities and Tasks:
- Produce Technical basis for detail engineering of SIS - Safety Instrumented Systems part of SAS system to be designed and documented
- Input to production of typicals: like SW & HW typicals, standard cabinets, etc.
- Making System Control diagrams (SCDs), Cause & Effect, SAS Functional specification, sequence specifications etc. for process, utilities and packages
- Establish Safety Requirement Specification and follow-up of SIS life cycle documentation
- Establish hardware and software reports to the SAS supplier
- Contributing to HMI graphics production
- Contributing to alarm classification
- Testing of SAS hardware and software at the SAS suppliers facilities
- Participating at HAZOP, LOPA, design reviews, SCD reviews etc.
- Meetings, discussions and cooperation with other disciplines, package vendors and EPCs
Qualifications / Personal Attributes:- Minimum 7 years of SAS Engineering experience from Greenfield (NORSOK requirements) oil and gas projects (EPMA/EPC) is required
- Detailed knowledge of and experience with making System Control Diagrams (SCD), sequences and functional specifications
- Detailed knowledge of NORSOK I-005 and NORSOK function blocks
- Excellent team player (communication is a vital function across disciplines, functions and suppliers)
- Experience from Hazop, LOPA, design reviews and SCD reviews
- Experience as a Lead is an advantage
- Fluent spoken and written English
