Architecture at Universidad Cristiana Autónoma de Nicaragua
The UCAN is very well-known University in Nicaragua. Offering students around the country a chance to study locally, by having offices and a campus in many cities of the country. Most if not all courses the university offers extensive practical work and projects. The student will have a chance to be part of the educative processes, as well as different projects with the university or a company that works with the UCAN. The field in question for this internship is architecture with the focus on graphic design, although the student will also be tackled with some of the general issues and difficulties that the country of Nicaragua has to overcome.
The legal situation concerning earning money as a foreigner has not yet been resolved in Nicaragua. Thus the employer will provide lodging and food.
The student should be communicative and outgoing, and interested in learning Spanish locally or from their co-workers during their stay
Be tolerant to heat, good physical health, good communication abilities, interested in doing research projects and in working with other people of other cultures. For social reasons, some fair knowledge of Spanish, and/or a will to learn some language is preferable.
