Dushinka is an actress, drama instructor, writer, translator and teacher from Oslo, Norway. She is a graduate of The International Theatre Academy Norway, and has acted in various short films and commercials, as well as acted on stage in New York City, Chicago, Detroit, Austalia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and throughout Norway.
Credits include: Visions of Kerouac (Grusomhetens Teater), Kafé Au Lait (shortfilm by Marie Skogvang), Mens Vi Venter På No´Godt (written and directed by Dushinka), Deborah Grimberg´s Hellmouth (Austalian premiere), The Stronger (TRESS Teaterkompani, Oslo), Ibsen´s Women (West Village Musical Theater Festival, NYC), A Midsummernight´s Dream (With Gorilla Repertory Theater), Appointment (With Aaron Landsman), Anxiety Panic and the Hatred, They Tell Me You Are, Ghostmachine, Contractions, Hedda Gabler, and Lysistrata. Dushinka has translated various texts (articles, poetry, directing notes, short plays) from Norwegian into English and vise versa, as well as written short plays in both English and Norwegian. She speaks Norwegain and American English fluently. Dushinka served as Assistant Manager at the Cummins Theatre (Australia in 2013) and was the leader of Tveita Fritidsklubb (Norway), drama instructor of Alna Barneteater and Oppegård Kulturskole, and an English and music teacher at Tveita skole.
