Global Marketing Manager Fish
Skretting is looking for an enthusiastic Global Marketing Manager Fish, who will be responsible to develop our market proposition, and provide marketing and innovation support to our business across Europe, Asia, Americas, and Africa. You will play a key role in defining and developing our value proposition for relevant fish species, working closely with marketing managers in our operating companies.You will identify market needs based on technical and commercial requirements and collaborate with our Researchers in Skretting Aquaculture Innovation to develop product solutions from conception to post-launch follow-up. This entails enhancing profitability by strengthening our market position, identifying growth opportunities, leading development efforts, and delivering new products, applications, and services to customers within the segment.The Marketing Manager will report to the Skretting Innovation Director Warm Water Species for Fish and join the Warm water species innovation team based at the Skretting headquarters in Stavanger, Norway.Tasks and responsibilitiesAgree on targets and action plans with our operating companies and align with the relevant Business Unit management ambitions.Develop and lead the overall marketing plan together with the operating companiesIdentify business opportunities for new products and concepts and propose initial plans to exploit these opportunities.Work together with the R&D department to drive the new products into the innovation pipeline.Participate actively in the Innovation team to cultivate a competitive product portfolio and exert a significant influence on shaping the value proposition and content of all branding pillars.Define specifications for new products and improvements of existing offerings.Prepare product marketing plans, product presentations and forecast sales and profit estimates.Close collaboration with fish specialists in Skretting’s operating companies and with Skretting’s Research departments.Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure alignment of marketing plans and safeguard the quality of the products in collaboration with the quality department.Initiate and follow up registration of new and existing ingredients and be up to date on regulations in EU and other relevant countries.What we askThe ability to work strategically with a long-term time frame in mind, whilst balancing this with the short-term operational needs of an OpCo.An ability to build a network of relationships with internal and external business partners and collaborate with geographically distributed teams.An interest in digging into the details of a new opportunity and turning it into a commercial reality by working with others.A strong team player able to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.Innovative and solution oriented, proactive, and business minded.Flexible, curious, and eager to learn.What you bringMaster’s degree from relevant aquaculture biological science, preferably combined with education and/or experience in marketing/Innovation. A benefit will also be experience with aquaculture nutrition/formulation or related area.Good and proven business understanding, with minimum of 5 years’ experience in aqua and marketing/InnovationExperience from product development and marketing/innovationSkill within project management and structured approachesGood communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
