The program consists of three job rotations across the company, of which at least one will be abroad. You will also get the opportunity to apply for a seat on our CEO-led Future Board initiative -- an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals in Statkraft.Trainee Nordic Asset Exposure ManagementDepartmentYou will be part of the Asset Exposure Management (MA) unit within the Business Area Markets “M”. The unit leverages M’s deep market insight, excellence in market operations, and proficiency in providing market solutions for Statkraft’s assets in Nordics, Europe, and New Energy Solutions such as portfolio management, revenue optimisation, hedging, and regulatory advisory. MA also provides support on asset development and commercial strategy. This role is placed under the MA Nordics unit (MAN).We are looking for a trainee to a member of the MAN team and you will be a key in delivering market solutions to the biggest renewable portfolio in the Nordics. From hydrology and analysis of future market development, to optimizing advanced renewable power plants in a complex energy market as well as development of algorithmic trading systems and other IT. Energy Management Nordics (MEN) is responsible for market access and optimizing the income from Statkraft’s Nordic power plants.As trainee within Energy Management Nordics, you will:? Learn about the energy market, advanced renewable power plants and IT-development from a leading team of experts.? Participate in optimizing the largest portfolio of renewable assets in Europe.? Collaborate with colleagues from many parts of Statkraft, for instance hydrology, market analysis, regional control rooms, technical departments, and IT.About you:We look for a trainee with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. We continuously enhance our risk tools for a world driven by renewable energy. Our advice is valued by senior management and plays an important part in their decision making.Working in Risk ManagementFrom helping to run advanced renewable power plants, developing the technologies that power EV charging infrastructures, to supporting our business solutions and corporate functions. With Statkraft, you’ll be working and collaborating alongside other technology and digital experts to innovate, maintain and provide the world with renewable energy.As a trainee in the Risk Department, you will:Work on market, credit and liquidity risks and develop key risk insights for our trading, origination, and asset portfolios.Apply financial and statistical theory to our energy portfolios and improve our tool kit for Statkraft’s future growth.Actively collaborate with Front Office on new and novel energy transactions across Europe, US, India, and Latin America and advise Front Office on risk issues.Drive forward the department’s digitalisation agenda to enhance operational reliability and reduce time spent on data collection and reporting, and use saved time for data analysis instead.About you:We look for a trainee with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions.
