Wärtsilä Norway AS is s wholly owned subsidiary of Wärtsilä Corporation in Finland. We develop, design, produce, repair and maintain marine engines, gears and propulsion systems for all types and sizes of ships and offshore installations. We also develop and produce complete automation and control systems for electric propulsion and dynamic positioning systems. Our services businesses support all customers worldwide throughout the lifecycle of their installation.

Wärtsilä has four subsidiaries in Norway; Wärtsilä Norway, Wärtsilä Ship Design Norway, Wärtsilä Oil & Gas Systems and Wärtsilä Moss. In total we are over 1200 employees who deliver industry-leading products and solutions for the marine, oil & gas and industrial sectors. 

Wärtsilä’s primary activities in Norway are R&D, project management, engineering, manufacturing and sales for Ship Power solutions – including Ship Design - to customers all over the world, as well as sales and execution of a wide array of services for Norwegian customers operating ships and offshore installations at home or abroad. Main markets are the marine and oil & gas industries. We also offer a range of environmental and liquid cargo solutions for the marine, oil & gas and industrial sectors.
