The Risk department is responsible for all matters related to Credit, Market and Operational Risk as well as ERM and Risk Control across the business units in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

We are looking for junior and senior analysts to join our ERM and Risk Control function to further strengthen and develop our enterprise risk management ambitions. As an ERM & RC Analyst at Santander Consumer Bank, you will closely cooperate with Risk Management teams as well as with Financial Management, Financial Control, Compliance, Legal, IT and other departments in the Bank. You will also be involved on key processes within risk including risk identification and assessment, risk appetite setting, risk forecast and budgeting processes, monitoring and reporting of key risks in the bank among others.

Our ERM and Risk Control function has the following responsibilities

• Risk identification and assessment, both quantitative and qualitative
• Developing, maintaining and reporting on Risk Appetite Statement
• Generation and distribution of Risk Management Information to support risk management and control in the bank
• Maintaining internal regulations for ERM and Risk Control
• Supporting budget and forecasting processes
• Performing data analytics to optimize credit risk performance, risk data quality assurance and control
• Risk MI consolidation seeking operational excellence and automation

Main deliveries

• Development and execution of ERM strategies in the bank
• Ensure coherence of risk appetite with the Bank Strategy and develop the risk strategy
• Oversight of Risk Identification & Assessment (RIA), Risk appetite, Strategic Risk and Risk Strategy processes.
• IFRS 9 calculation execution and analysis
• Credit risk data maintenance and analysis
• Responsible for risk reporting
• Participate in pan-Nordic and cross-functional projects and assist in the training and development of a risk culture in the organization

Your profile

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Business / Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
• Other technical and quantitative studies with relevant experience will be also considered
• Desired minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry
• Background or previous exposure to credit, operational, market or capital risk would be an advantage
• Advanced Excel macro and VBA knowledge would be an advantage
• Experience with SQL, SAS or other programming language would be an advantage
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and structures will be valuable
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Corporate language is English. Proficiency in Norwegian or any other Nordic language is an advantage
